Head coach of Brazil’s National Men’s Football Team, Carlo Ancelotti, has given an unbothered response to questions about the behaviour of Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr at Spanish club Real Madrid.
In the face of a tumultuous period at Madrid where Vinicius Jr caused a series of controversies in the first El Clasico of the 2025-2026 season.
After throwing a tantrum after getting subbed out of the game against FC Barcelona, Vinicius Jr proceeded to engage in scuffles after the game but apologized for the incidents.
Speaking after calling Vinicius Jr to the Brazilian squad for upcoming international friendlies against Senegal and Tunisia on November 15 and 18 respectively, Ancelotti, who coached Vinicius at Real Madrid, wasn’t particularly concerned about the happenings at Real Madrid.

“I have spoken to Vinícius about it, I told him what I thought, that he made a mistake, he understood he had made a mistake and he apologised.”

“I believe the issue is resolved. He is a very important player for us. He can help us a lot.”

“As for his personal life, it’s his, I’m not his father nor his brother, I’m just his coach” Ancelotti said according to ESPN.

Vinicius Jr has made 14 appearances in all competitions and has five goals and four assists in the 2025-2026 season. Former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was called up to the national team for the first time in three years but Neymar was left out.
