Mohammed Kudus has been selected to the Europa League Team of the Week despite West Ham’s exit.

Ghanaian player Mohammed Kudus has been selected to the Europa League Team of the Week, despite his team, West Ham United, being eliminated from the competition by German Bundesliga winners Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the 23-year-old’s effort in Thursday night’s 1-1 tie at the London Stadium earned him a spot in SofaScore’s best XI of the week following the quarterfinal second leg games.

The one all draw was not enough as the Hammers could not overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Germany.

Mohammed Kudus created as many as three chances in the game, which was the most by any player on the pitch.

lso, the Black Stars’ attacking midfielder completed the most dribbles by any player on the pitch with his four on the night.

West Ham had a dream start to the game when Michail Antonio put them ahead after 13 minutes but they could not build on it and conceded in the 89th minute from a Jeremie Frimpong strike.
