Real Madrid 2-1 Barcelona: It wasn’t an easy game for Lamine Yamal- Barcelona Coach states

FC Barcelona’s assistant coach Marcus Sorg has voiced his opinion on Spanish winger Lamine Yamal’s performance in the El Clasico.

The first El Clasico of the 2025-2026 season ended in a 2-1 win for Real Madrid over bitter rivals Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu. Fermin Lopez scored the consolation goal for Barcelona in the loss.

Sorg was on the touchline for the game due to Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick’s touchline ban and shared to the club’s media that it wasn’t an easy game for the highly rated winger Yamal.

“We made a lot of mistakes, more than we usually do. It wasn’t an easy game for Lamine [Yamal]. He was very well marked. We also have to understand that he’s coming back from injury and is only 18 years old. We tried everything, but we couldn’t make it happen” Sorg said.

Ahead of the big game, Yamal commented that Real Madrid steal matches; after the game, Madrid full back Dani Carvajal was captured telling Yamal “you talk too much”.

The confrontation which happened after the game led to multiple scuffles involving players from both teams
