Mohammed Kudus grabs first assist under Thomas Frank in pre-season outing

Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has registered his first assist under new Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank, marking a promising start to his pre-season campaign.

The €55 million signing set up Luka Vušković’s goal in Tottenham Hotspur’s first pre-season fixture against Reading, making his debut in the process.

Kudus, who joined from West Ham United, recorded three assists in the Premier League last season. The 24-year-old is aiming to build on that tally under Frank, who officially took over as manager this summer.

Speaking about the Ghanaian’s arrival, Thomas Frank said:

I think it’s a great signing. He gives us a bit of that unpredictability in the game. His one-on-one actions are top, his finishing is very good, and he’s at almost the perfect age to perform and also take the next level.

With his versatility and flair, Kudus is expected to play a key role for Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming 2025/26 season.
