FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is optimistic about his team’s chances of beating Real Madrid to win the El Clasico on Sunday, October 26 at 15:30 GMT at Real’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Barcelona head into this weekend’s El Clasico after winning the last four games involving the eternal rivals. In the 2024-2025 season, Barca won all four contests and scored 16 goals in all against Real including a win in the Spanish Super Cup.
Speaking in a post game interview after Barcelona’s 6-1 win over Greek side Olympiacos in the UEFA Champions League that had Fermin Lopez score a hat-trick and Marcus Rashford score twice, Hansi Flick was sure his team would get a win on Sunday.
“Last year was incredible, but we are now faced with a different situation. I am positive and I think we can win in Madrid. We have a good team and we may have a player back.”

“We need all the players at the highest level. (Real) Madrid are a great team and we will have to fight” Flick said to Barcelona media.

Dani Olmo, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, goalkeeper Joan Garcia, Ferran Torres and Gavi are Barcelona players dealing with injuries ahead of the game.
