Ampem Darkoa Ladies head coach Stephen Sarkodie is confident his team will come out on top in Sunday’s Women’s Premier League final.
The much-anticipated clash will take place on May 17, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, as part of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Women’s Football Festival, a season-ending event celebrating women’s football.
Northern Zone champions Ampem Darkoa will face Southern Zone winners Police Ladies in the final match of the 2024/25 season.
Coach Sarkodie expressed strong belief in his team’s chances.
“God willing on Sunday Ampem Darkoa will be victorious what we are doing now we are fighting any opponent but the benefit that will bring Ghana. And also to promote the growth of women’s football in Ghana to be huge so that when we are no more our names will be mentioned that we did a lot,” he told Peace FM
“We are not the only coaches to play in a final in the past if coaches who have managed a team in a finals are mentioned our names will not be mentioned other coaches will be mentioned. So if today we have gotten opportunity to take our team to the finals it is a privilege for us that our work today we have been rewarded,” he added.
