“I would have been a painter”- Thomas Partey reveals alternative if he had not become a footballer

Arsenal and Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has disclosed that he would have been a painter if he had not become a footballer.

The midfielder started training to become a painter but prematurely quit to chase his football dreams.

According to the former Atletico Madrid player, his father had sent him to learn the skill so he would make a profession out of it because he was good at it.

Maybe I would be a painter,” he told The Footy Culture during a quick-fire questions and answers sessions. “I use to be good at it but now I don’t know,” he added.

“I remember one day my father took me to a painting shop to start painting but I went there once and the rest of it was on the field.

He, however, declined that he would go back to the art despite the passion for it.

Partey’s campaign with Arsenal suffered a blow last night after the Gunners were eliminated at the semi-final stage of the UEFA Champions League by Paris Saint Germain.
