Kotoko’s head coach hopes to use the “long week” to end their poor run.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is expecting to fully utilize a longer than usual break to prepare for tough upcoming games amid a poor run of form.

Kotoko lost 2-0 to city rivals Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League marking the Porcupine Warriors four game winless streak

Ahead of playing against Nations FC, Kotoko drew goalless against Kpando Heart of Lions and Bechem United and lost 3-0 to Accra Lions.

In the post-game interview after losing to Nations FC, Dr. Ogum described his team’s rate of conceding goals as uncharacteristic but was hopeful of utilizing a six day break before taking on Aduana Stars to end the winless streak with Kotoko playing three games in the space of a week.

“This time around, we are going to have a long week so I’m sure the long week will help us have more time to look at issues critically.”

“I’m hoping that the long week, we will be able to maximize it and reshape the team in terms of our mentality, in terms of our tactics, in terms of our physicality” Dr. Ogum said.

Kotoko take on 10th ranked Aduana Stars on April 27 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
