Ghanaian kid Ilyas Ansah scores in second consecutive game for Paderborn 07 promotion bid

Ghanaian youngster Ilyas Ansah was the scoresheet for FC Paderborn 07 in their hard-earned victory over 1. FC Nurnberg in the German Bundesliga Two on Saturday afternoon.

Paderborn rallied from behind to claim a 3-2 win at the Max-Morlock-Stadion to cushion their promotion bid to the Bundesliga next season.

Nurnberg were ahead after the just minutes into the game when Azerbaijan international forward Mahir Emreli found the back of the net.

German defender Tjark Scheller scored the equalising goal in the 20th minute after he was assisted by Raphael Obermair.

Ansah scored immediately after the half-time break to give Paderborn the lead as they turned around the scoreline to their favour.

Paderborn wrapped their victory in the 77th minute when experienced attacker Sven Michel scored off a Laurin Curda assist.

Emreli scored again in stoppage time, but that wasn’t enough for Nurnberg to earn a point from the match.

Paderborn are sitting in the 4th position on the league standings, trailing the promotion places by just three points.

The 20-year-old Germany-born Ghanaian has bagged six goals and registered five assists after 30 appearances in the German second-tier this campaign.
