Ghana defender Alexander Djiku hails Fenerbahce’s character after big win over Trabzonspor in Turkey

Ghana international Alexander Djiku has eulogized Fenerbahce’s character following an impressive win over Trabzonspor in the Turkish top-flight.

The Black Stars defender was in action at the weekend when his outfit made light work of their opponent at the SaracoÄŸlu Spor Kompleksi.

Djiku lasted 45-minutes as the side cruised to an emphatic 4-1 home win over Trabzonspor in the week 30 of the top-flight campaign.

“Big character from everyone, until the end. Thank you all for the support” wrote the Ghana international after the game.

Trabzonspor went to the halftime break with the advantage after grabbing the opening goal before the half hour mark through Denis Dragus.

However, the host staged a strong comeback to secure resounding victory over their opponent after halftime break.

Anderson Talisca, who replaced Djiku before the start of the second half level the score for the home team after converting perfectly from the spot.

Slovakia international Milan Skriniar scored in the 60th-minute mark to double the advantage for the home team. Fenerbahce’s continued their dominance in the match with Talisca scoring the third and fourth goals respectively to cement victory.

The 30-year-old Ghana international has made 21 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig this season. In all competitions, he has made 34 appearances for the Turkish giants, scoring one goal in the process.
