The Club Licensing Department of the Ghana Football association has given the green light for the usage of the Wenchi Stadium by Young Apostles.
In an attempt to ensure strict enforcement of the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols 2025 across all league centres, the GFA Club Licensing Committee rejected the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
Young Apostles had to relocate to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park for the matchday 24 clash against Accra Lions after failing to meet requirement.
The rejection came as a huge setback for Young Apostles, who have been using the Wenchi Sports Stadium as their home venue in their debut Ghana Premier League campaign.
Upon further checks, the Club Licensing Department of the Ghana FA has approved the Wenchi Stadium for the remainder of the campaign, serving a huge boost for the club.
The approval means Young Apostles will play host to Asante Kotoko at Wenchi in an outstanding Ghana Premier League clash on Wednesday.
“We are glad to announce that the Club licensing body of the Ghana Football Association has approved usage of the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Hence our much anticipated fixture against Asante Kotoko on Wednesday will be held in WENCHI” wrote the club.
Young Apostles are currently 10th on the Ghana Premier League standings, accumulating 27 points from 21 matches.
