Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, has reacted to news of Africa’s football governing body, CAF, clearing him to contest for an Executive Committee position at the association.
The GFA President reacted to the development by posting on his Facebook page his affirmation on the upcoming elections that would have the veteran football administrator elevated to the supreme body of the continent’s football body.
Kurt Okraku got cleared to contest the position after passing CAF’s integrity test prompting the GFA President to state,
“I have been cleared to contest for a place on the Executive Committee of CAF after successfully passing the integrity test. Excited for what lies ahead. May God guide through this journey.”
Kurt Okraku heads into the elections on the back of Ghana failing to qualify to compete in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco. The draw for the tournament is scheduled to be conducted on January 27.
Ghana’s Black Galaxies failed to qualify to the 2025 CHAN but Ghana chalked success at the 2023 African Games winning gold in the men’s and women’s division.
The Black Queens have qualified to compete at the 2025 Women’s AFCON.
