2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Week 17 Match Report – Legon Cities 3-0 Dreams FC

Legon Cities ended their five-game losing streak in style, defeating Dreams FC 3-0 with a dominant second-half performance at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The victory, fueled by goals from Fredrick Akatuk, Frank Akoto, and Raymond Agyemang, provided a much-needed boost for Cities, who climbed off the bottom of the table but remain in the relegation zone.

The first half was evenly contested, with neither side creating clear-cut chances. However, Legon Cities came alive in the second half, taking control of the game.

Akatuk broke the deadlock with a clinical finish, while Akoto doubled the lead shortly after, capitalizing on poor defending from Dreams FC. Agyemang sealed the win with a late strike to cap an impressive team performance.

Cities dominated possession with 57% and managed five shots on target, while Dreams FC failed to register a single effort on goal. The hosts also earned nine corner kicks to Dreams’ four, further highlighting their attacking superiority.

The loss leaves Dreams FC dangerously close to the relegation zone as their poor form continues. Meanwhile, Legon Cities will hope to build on this result and continue their fight for survival in the coming weeks.
