Donkomi: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia signs for Paris Saint-Germain until 2029

Paris Saint-Germain are delighted to announce the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 23-year-old winger, who will wear the number 7 shirt, becomes the first Georgian player in the club’s history.

Paris Saint-Germain’s new attacker, who becomes the first Georgian player in the club’s history (bringing the number of nationalities represented to 50), has also been a real pillar of his national team for the last 6 years.

After being called up to various categories of the Georgian national team, he made his first senior team appearance on 7 June 2019, in a match against Gibraltar.

The left winger has now made 40 appearances for his country, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists. Recently called up to take part in Euro 2024, he was one of the key figures in Georgia’s fine run to the last 16.

“It’s a dream to be here. I’ve heard a lot of very positive things about Paris Saint-Germain. I feel immense pride in joining this great club and I’m really looking forward to wearing my new colours”, said Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

“We are delighted to welcome Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the Paris Saint-Germain family. Khvicha is one of the most exciting players in world football – a fantastic talent, but also a player who has courage and fights for the team above all else.

Khvicha was so determined to be part of our great club. I know he will achieve all his goals with us. We are delighted to be strengthening our squad and continuing to make the team the star of Paris Saint-Germain”, said Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain.
