Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier League outfit, Young Apostles, Gerald Damoah Donfeh has provided clarity on the role of Samuel Anim Addo, insisting he is not the owner of the club.

Prior to this clarification, the former Executive Council member of the Ghana FA was known to be the bankroller of the Wenchi-based club.

Anim Addo recently made allegations against referee Maxwell Hanson and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), sparking numerous controversies at Young Apostles.

He claimed he has been threatened his outfit will be relegated from the Premier League for criticizing referee Maxwell Hanson.

However, Young Apostles in a statement signed by the CEO swiftly distanced themselves from Anim Addo’s allegations.

In a dramatic turn of event, the CEO in an interview with Accra-based Asempa FM emphasized Anim Addo is not the owner of Young Apostles, saying he is just a shareholder of the club.

“My parents are the majority shareholders of the club. They make financial commitment to the club. Sammy Anim Addo is not the owner of the club. He is a shareholder” he said.

Meanwhile, Anim Addo has been charged for misconduct by the Ghana FA and has until Monday, January 13, 2025 to respond.
