Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola identifies Antoine Semenyo’s short falls following Manchester United’s victory.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has identified areas that Ghana international Antoine Semenyo needs to work on to improve his overall output.

The Black Stars forward started and played for 89 minutes as his outfit made light work of the Premier League giants on Sunday.

Semenyo played a pivotal role by registering his name on the scoresheet, contributing to his outfit emphatic 3-0 win over Manchester United at the Old Trafford.

Despite scoring, Andoni Iraola made few observation about Semenyo and has therefore urged him to work on to improve in subsequent games.

“When you are a full-back, you try to guess what the opposition is going to do and cover his strong foot. I think he has to mix everything a bit. I try to encourage him to change during the game so they can’t cover him.”

The visitors took the lead just before the half-hour mark through Dean Huijsen after connecting from Ryan Christie pass.

Bournemouth made it 2-0 after Justin Kluivert stepped up to the spot and coolly converted a penalty before the Ghanaian international found the net in the 63rd minute from 10 yards to cement the win.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian forward has been outstanding for Bournemouth this season, scoring five goals and providing an assist from 16 games in the Premier League.
