Black Stars legend expresses sympathy with Prince Tagoe as he lays his late mother to rest.

Former Black Stars players including legendary skipper Stephen Appiah showed support to ex-teammate Prince Tagoe as he laid his late mother to rest.

Tagoe, a member of the Black Stars team at the 2010 World Cup, lost his mother, Madam Joyce Tagoe, last month in Accra. She passed at the age of 69.

At the final burial and funeral rites, several top stars including Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and Kwadwo Asamoah were present at the ceremony.

Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) president Tony Baffoe was also spotted with Sam Johnson and Isaac Vorsah at the funeral. There were also representatives from former club Hearts of Oak at the event in Accra.

Tagoe took to social media to thank his former teammates and well-wishers for their support during the difficult period.

“Your words comforted us. Your support strengthened us. Your love sustained us. We extend our deepest gratitude to one and all for your presence, kindness, and blessings during our greatest sadness,” he posted on social media.

“We appreciate it more than words can convey and your Goodness and Gracious expression of Sympathy will always be remembered in our hearts.

“Whether you kept us in your Thoughts, provided a Lovely Arrangement, made a Generous Donation, or helped us in your own blessed way, please know that your act of Love will always stay with us. Thank you. The Tagoes..!!
