We missed a lot of chances against Hearts of Oak – Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah

Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum says his side should have wrapped up the game in the first half following their hard-fought win against the rivals, Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors recorded a 1-0 win against the Phobian Club on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Matchday 13 games.

Albert Amoah‘s stoppage-time strike secured the needed win for the Reds to ease pressure on the head coach.

Speaking after the game, Narteh Ogum praised his side but admitted that they missed a lot of chances.

According to him, they should have wrapped up the game in the first half.

“Absolutely, there is a lot of work to do,” he said. “It’s something we must admit as a coach. As a coach, I have to admit.

“If you look at the chances we created, we shouldn’t have gotten to 90+5 (minutes) before scoring, we should have finished this game in the first half,” he added.

Kotoko have moved to the 6th place on the league log with 21 points and will face Dreams FC in the Matchday 14 games at the Tuba Astro Turf.
