Nsoatreman FC‘s Public Relations Officer, Joel Kofi Gyempeh, has dismissed reports regarding the resignation of General Manager Eric Alagidede.
Alagidede has granted interviews and confirmed that he has tendered his resignation letter to the club.
In an interview with Citi Sports, Gyempeh claimed that the club has not received any formal resignation letter from Alagidede.
Gyempeh noted that the speculation surrounding Alagidede’s potential departure is not surprising, considering the team’s struggles this season.
“In actual fact we haven’t had a good season so far as compared to last season so whatever news you are hearing so far with regards to Eric Alagidede resigning can be attributed to that and the performance of the club” he said.
“I can also confirm to you that officially the club has not received any resignation letter from Mr. Eric Alagidede and that is what I can tell you.”
Currently, Nsoatreman FC is experiencing a challenging season, sitting in 11th place on the Ghana Premier League table with just 14 points—only two points above the relegation zone.
The team has secured victories in only three of their 13 matches, while suffering five losses and recording five draws.
