Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Delali Anku-Adiamah believes his side deserved a point against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League clash.
The Phobians succumbed to a narrow defeat in matchday 13 of the Premier League, held at the Baba Yara Stadium, marking their fourth consecutive defeat against their archrivals.
In-form Kotoko Albert Amoah capitalized on defender Kelvin Osei Asibey’s blunder to slot the match-winner in stoppage time.
“We could have played a bit different or better. It’s Kotoko-Hearts of Oak and sometimes these things happen. We need to go back and assess the game. For me, a draw would have been a fair result” he said.
“We had a bit of winning streak, this is our first defeat in six games so we will analyze the game and identify our short falls to bounce back” he told Kessben FM.
Hearts of Oak are currently seventh on the Ghana Premier League standings with 19 points after 13 matches.
The Phobians will lock horns with Berekum Chelsea in matchday 14 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
