Ghana FA Exco member Frederick Acheampong loses parliamentary race

Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Fredrick Asare has lost the Parliamentary race at the Ahafo Ano South East Constituency.

Ghanaians went to the polls on Saturday, December 7, 2024 to elect new Ghana president and parliamentarians.

Unfortunately, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ashantigold failed in his bid to secure a spot in parliament.

Acheampong fell short to the National Democratic Congress candidate, Yakubu Mohammed, who won the race with over thousand votes at the end of the elections.

With high expectations, the ace Ghanaian sports journalist was hopeful of victory. Unfortunately for him, his ambitions has hit a snag. He will have to wait for the next four years having failed in his first attempt.

Meanwhile, the experienced football administrator will now turn his attention to football activities.
