Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has revealed that he is an Arsenal fan, with the club being widely supported by both of his parents and family members.
The 24-year-old expressed his excitement about playing against the team he has supported all his life and is eager to seize the opportunity to score against them.
Semenyo’s club, Bournemouth, will host the Gunners at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening in the Premier League.
He mentioned that his parents and his pastor will be in the stands to watch him play against Arsenal, adding that they will be cheering for him to score.
“I am an Arsenal fan,” Semenyo told The Athletic in an interview.
“I don’t conflict the two with my job. It is great to play against Arsenal, a team I have watched all my life and I want to play for the top clubs as well. In order for that to happen I need to prove it.”
Semenyo has enjoyed a strong start to the new Premier League season, netting three goals and providing one assist.
