2025 AFCON Qualifiers: Otto Addo aiming to surprise Kwesi Appiah in Libya

Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, is aiming to upset Kwesi Appiah‘s Sudanese side as the two teams face off today in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The match is set to take place at the Benina Stadium in Libya, and all eyes are on Addo to steer Ghana to a much-needed victory.

Kwesi Appiah, who previously managed Ghana in two separate stints (2012-2014 and 2017-2020), is now at the helm of Sudan. His familiarity with the Ghanaian team adds extra intrigue to this critical encounter.

Ghana’s qualifiers campaign has been underwhelming so far, with the Black Stars currently sitting third in Group F with two points from three matches. Sudan, meanwhile, is in second place with four points, behind group leaders Angola who have nine points.

Ghana needs a victory to boost their chances of qualifying for the tournament, which will be held in Morocco in 2025. After a goalless draw in the first leg in Accra, the stakes are high as Addo looks to guide Ghana to victory.
