Real Tamale United (RTU) continued their impressive form in the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League, notching their third consecutive victory with a convincing 4-1 win over newly promoted Walewale Catholic Stars in Tamale.

The match started with a surprise as the visitors took the lead just four minutes in through Prince Gbedzo. However, RTU quickly responded, with Musa Alhassan equalizing within a minute.

The home side took control, with Mutala Sulemana scoring in the 28th minute and Abdulai Abdul Rashid adding another just before halftime to make it 3-1.

Alhassan capped off an outstanding performance with his second goal of the match, finishing a well-placed cross to seal the victory at 4-1.

This dominant win solidifies RTU’s position at the top of the league standings, highlighting their strong start to the season.

In another exciting fixture, former Premier League side Bofoakwa Tano played out a thrilling 2-2 draw against Techiman Eleven Wonders at Sunyani Coronation Park. Bofoakwa dominated the first half, with Doe Jacob Abiasi scoring a stunning goal in the 29th minute, followed by an own goal from Bismarck Gyan three minutes later, giving Bofoakwa a comfortable 2-0 lead.

However, Eleven Wonders fought back in the second half, showing resilience as Amos Opoku Annor pulled one back before Philip Dare levelled the score.

The match ended in a hard-fought draw, ensuring both teams left the pitch with a point each as they look to improve their standings in the league.
