The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has announced the opening of nominations for the 49th SWAG Awards in Accra.
In a release signed by its nomination committee, the award aims at rewarding and acknowledging outstanding athletes, coaches and sports administrators who, have excelled in their respective disciplines, promoting sports development and excellence in Ghana.
According to the release the nominations are open to Ghanaian athletes, coaches and sports administrators who have achieved remarkable success in the year under review from January 1, 2024 to November 30, 2014.
“Members of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Sports Organizations, and National Federations interested should submit nominations via: Email: info@swagghana.com.
“Hard copies should be sent to the SWAG Secretariat, Accra Sports Stadium, Please note that nominations from National Federations or organizations should be on their letterhead, signed, and stamped by the President or Secretary of the NF or organization”.
The release further noted that “ SWAG members in good standing are eligible to nominate persons for awards as nominations will close on October 28, 2024 NB: Kindly take note that nominations do not guarantee a win as all nominations would be vetted by the 49th SWAG Awards Nomination Committee”.
