NSA made 900,000 Ghana Cedis from renting Baba Yara Stadium out- Seth Panwum

The National Sports Authority (NSA) made 900,000 Ghana Cedis from renting the Baba Yara Stadium out for non-sports activities.

This is according to National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman, Seth Panwum, who represented the Authority at a Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Culture and Tourism hearing chaired by South Tongu Constituency Member of Parliament, Wisdom Kobena Woyome.

Earlier in his address at the hearing, Seth Panwum stated that the officer who rented out the Baba Yara Stadium for church activities just before Ghana played against Angola in a 2025 AFCON qualifier was facing internal discipline.

However, the Baba Yara Stadium was banned after the game due to the terrible nature of the pitch and other facilities at the edifice in poor condition and Seth Panwum stated the Authority made from 900, 000 Cedis from renting out the Baba Yara Stadium.

The NSA is the second sports body that has appeared before the Sports Committee after the Sports Minister appeared on Day One where he revealed that Ghana’s contingent spent three million dollars at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire despite exiting the competition at the group stage.
