The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has unveiled a new identity of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup – marking yet another exciting chapter in the ever-evolving story of African football.
The TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup is one of CAF’s flagship club competitions and is contested by champions of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
The TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2024 will take place on Friday, 27 September in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The new identify of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup draws its inspiration from the actual trophy, as was the case with the new identity that was unveiled by CAF ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
With the global increase in growth and interest in African football, the launch of the new identify of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup reaffirms CAF’s unwavering commitment and dedication to constantly improving the brand image of all its competitions.
CAF General Secretary, Mr Veron Mosengo-Omba said the unveiling of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup’s new identity adds onto the evolution of African football that has been noticeable and commended across the globe in recent years.
This year’s edition will be contested by rival Egyptian football powerhouses – Al Ahly SC, winners of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League as well as Zamalek SC who are champions of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The launch of the new identity adds onto the exciting build up to the clash, which coincides with the Riyadh Season 2024 and aligns with Riyadh Season’s success in attracting numerous major sporting events that have attracted significant international attention in recent years.
