GFA is building Ghanaman Centre of Excellence to be what its name suggests to be- Armstrong-Mortagbe

Head of Public Relations and Strategy for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, has stated that the vision of the GFA is to get the planned accommodation at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence to four star level quality.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports in the wake of the Football Association’s sod cutting ceremony for the construction of the facility that is expected to be a 40 room structure.

The veteran football administrator added that the vision is for the facility to house Ghana’s national football teams particularly the senior national men’s football team, the Black Stars.

“This is a 40 bed accommodation facility that is targeted to be constructed to four star quality. Obviously, the hotels where our players camp when it is that they’ve been in Ghana are around the same quality so the vision is to have a facility where our senior national team, our A national team have a place where they can also camp in Prampram.

“Gradually we are building the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence to be what its name suggests ought to be; a centre of excellence for Ghana football. That is the dream; that is the vision.”

In a related development, the Black Stars drew 1-1 with Niger to miss out on picking its first win two games into the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
