The Ghana U20 women’s national team, known as the Black Princesses, played to a 0-0 draw against Mexico’s U20 women’s national team in an international friendly match.
The encounter, held at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza in Bogotá, Colombia, was part of both teams’ final preparations for the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The Black Princesses began the game slowly but gained momentum as the match progressed.
Despite creating several scoring opportunities, both teams failed to convert, resulting in a goalless stalemate by the final whistle.
However this friendly match was crucial for Black Princesses’ head coach, Yussif Basigi, as it provided an opportunity to assess and fine-tune his squad before the World Cup.
The team aims to make a significant impact in the tournament, where they have been drawn in Group E alongside Austria, Japan, and New Zealand in the upcoming u-20 tournament
