Leicester City Academy product Ian Baraclough has praised Leicester City’s imminent signing of Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace.
The 32 year old forward is according to Edmund Brack of the South London Press on his way to Leicester after The Foxes and Palace agreed an eight million pound deal with add-ons included.
The deal is purportedly a two year contract with an option to extend by a year for the Black Stars player who worked with Leicester City manager Steve Cooper during their time at Swansea City.
Jordan Ayew’s impending move to Leicester was given further confirmation when Palace manager Oliver Glasner stated that Joachim Andersen (on the verge of joining Fulham) and Ayew were unavailable for the club’s league game against West Ham United on Saturday, August 24.
Speaking on a BBC Radio Podcast, Ian Baraclough, who is a former manager of Northern Ireland’s Men’s Football Team shared positive thoughts on the deal.
“I think Steve Cooper wants bodies and if he can get bodies who have Premier League experience then I think that will benefit the group at this moment in time. It probably won’t be to Leicester fans an exciting signing but he’s someone who knows his way around the Premier League.”
