Olympique Marseille set to make improved offer for Eddie Nketiah

French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille are reportedly preparing to make an improved offer for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to Sky Sports.

Initial negotiations between the two clubs revealed a significant gap in valuation, with Arsenal’s asking price exceeding what Marseille was initially willing to pay.

Nketiah, a product of Arsenal’s esteemed academy, is currently accompanying the Arsenal squad on their pre-season tour in the United States.

The English-Ghanaian forward has already featured in both of Arsenal’s matches on tour.

With three years remaining on his contract, it is widely anticipated that Nketiah will depart during this transfer window, with regular first-team football being his primary motivation.

The 25-year-old has endured limited playing time under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, prompting him to seek new opportunities elsewhere.

During his time at Arsenal, Nketiah has made 27 appearances in the Premier League, contributing five goals and two assists to the team’s overall performance.

Olympique Marseille‘s renewed interest in Nketiah suggests their determination to secure his services and bolster their attacking options.
