Hull City bid for Black Stars striker Brandon Thomas-Asante

Championship club Hull City have made a £2.5 million bid for West Brom and Ghana striker Brandon Thomas-Asante, according to Sky Sports.

Both clubs fell short in their pursuit of promotion last season and are eager to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.

Hull City finished 7th in the Championship, just missing out on the play-offs. This performance led to the departure of manager Liam Rosenior, who recently took over at RC Strasbourg.

Meanwhile, West Brom reached the play-offs but suffered an early exit against Southampton, who eventually won the competition.

Reports indicate that Hull City are targeting the 25-year-old, a key player for West Brom.

While details on West Brom’s response to the bid remain unclear, several clubs are reportedly interested in Asante.

Thomas-Asante joined West Brom from Salford City in August 2022 on a three-year deal, which now has only one year remaining.

He has scored 18 goals and provided two assists in 72 league appearances for the Baggies.
