EPL: Hope this season goes well- Fatawu Issahaku

Fatawu Issahaku, a Black Stars and Leicester City winger, is hopeful for a successful 2024-2025 season, with Leicester ready to compete in the English Premier League following promotion from the EFL Championship.

Issahaku stated this in an interview with Leicester City media after signing a permanent five-year contract worth 14 million pounds with the Foxes after playing the 2023-2024 season on loan at Sporting Lisbon.

Aided by Issahaku’s 13 assists and seven goals in 43 games last season, Leicester gained promotion to the EPL after spending just a year in the Championship and is hoping the upcoming season goes well.

“For me, [to win promotion] was amazing. It felt so good and it was one of the best moments in my career. I feel so good and I just want to keep going. I hope that this season goes well as well.”

“They’re amazing team-mates. Everyone at the Club was giving energy to the team and it felt so good. I feel so proud. For me, I take it as the beginning. I’m just getting started.”

Issahaku joins Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, and Ibrahim Osman as Black Stars players in the Premier League. Scroll down to watch Fatawu Issahaku’s announcement.
