The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) is grieved by the news of the unexpected demise of Egyptian player Ahmed Refaat, who played for Morden Future in the Egyptian Premier League.
Refaat, 31, suffered a heart arrest a few months earlier and died on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
CAF President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, extends his profound sympathies to Ahmed Refaat’s family, the Egyptian Football Association (“EFA”), and the Egyptian football family.
May Ahmed Refaat’s soul rest eternally in peace.
