Nations FC defender Micheal Awuah Mensah is set to join Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak, according to reports from Kumasi radio station, Nhyira FM.
The center back has reportedly reached an agreement with Hearts of Oak for a two-year deal.
Awuah, who was part of the group of players that narrowly missed out on winning the league title in their first season, will be joining Hearts of Oak as they look to strengthen their squad after narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the season.
The Phobians finished 14th in the league with 45 points, just one point above the drop zone.
The signing of Awuah is seen as a move to bolster the team’s defense and add quality to the squad.
The 24-year-old defender’s contract with Nations FC will be terminated in the coming days to facilitate his move to Hearts of Oak.
Awuah’s arrival at Hearts of Oak is expected to bring stability and experience to the team’s backline.
