Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan has opined that politics has taken over the country.
Speaking to Accra-based Asaase Radio on Tuesday, Juen 25, the Black Stars legend said everything in the country is now connected to politics.
“In Ghana, everything is connected to politics…even marriage is politics,” Asamoah Gyan shared.
Asamoah Gyan, 38, over the years has been linked with politics. At one point, it was reported that the celebrated footballer had an ambition to go to Parliament.
Early this year he was named to serve on the manifesto committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Gyan, he is on the committee in the interest of Ghana.
“I’m serving on NPP’s manifesto committee in Ghana’s interest,” Asamoah Gyan said.
Some reports have indicated that when Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia wins the 2024 general election, Asamoah Gyan will be named the Minister of Youth and Sports.
