The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has emphasised that the club will be looking at signing top players with Premier League experience in the off-season.
The Porcupine Warriors struggled to compete throughout the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season and only settled for a 4th-place finish.
Speaking to the media team of Asante Kotoko in a post-season interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said his team will not be signing players from the lower division.
“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to signing of some players to come augment [the squad]. This time not players from lower division but players who have seen it in the Premier League,” the Kotoko coach said.
In the interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum indicated that Asante Kotoko needs to work fast in the transfer market to bring in needed players to bolster their squad.
“We need to go there as early as possible to make sure that the players that we want we are able to get them as quickly as possible,” Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum shared.
