Former Black Stars player Michael Essien faces the sale of two of his luxury mansions in Accra, following a court order on June 12th.
The commercial division of the Ghanaian High Court has instructed that the properties, located in East Legon and Trassaco, be auctioned off.

According to reports, Ghanaian former professional footballer, Michael Essien is allegedly facing financial difficulties, including unpaid loans, which has compelled the Accra High Court Commercial Division to order the sale of two of his mansions located at East Legon and Trassaco, Adjiringanor.
One of the mansions is valued between $20 million and $30 million.
The news has shocked fans of the former Chelsea player, who is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s greatest footballers.
However, no official statement has been released by Essien or his representatives to clarify the situation.
