Ghana legend, Stephen Appiah has given his fair assessment of the Turkish Super Lig and the Italian Serie A.
Speaking in an interview, the former Fenerbahce star said the Italian league is ahead of the Turkish league.
Regardless, Stephen Appiah sees the Italian Super Lig as one of the best in Europe, stressing that the league is full of passion.
“If I’m being honest, the Italian league is a bit ahead of the Turkish league but the Turkish league is full of passion and one of the best also in Europe for so many reasons,” Stephen Appiah said as quoted by rg.org.
Meanwhile, Stephen Appiah has welcomed the arrival of Jose Mourinho to Fenerbahce following the appointment of the Portuguese tactician as new manager for the Turkish giants.
“I’m so excited because when it comes to Fenerbahce the fans are crazy. The character of Mourinho is going to fit so well with the club. His fame and coaching skills are going to give something huge to the Turkish Super League in general,” Stephen Appiah added.
