Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed his disappointment following the exclusion of his players in the latest Black Stars call up.
Ghana coach Otto Addo on Wednesday released a list of 26 players for the 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Mali and Central Africa Republic, handing an invite to only one local player.
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper was the only home-based player to have made the cut for the two crucial games next month.
Speaking to Kessben FM, Zito expressed his displeasure over the exclusion of his players in the Black Stars team.
“Dreams FC deserves better. If it is about performance, then Dreams FC deserves at least a slot in the Black Stars team”
“Forget about Kurt Okraku, we are all Ghanaians and working for the country. The current technical has justified the perception that Ghana football is declining. Upon all the monitoring and you hand call up to only one player, who is a goalkeeper then I am disappointed” he said.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars opened camp on Thursday for the games against Mali and Central Africa Republic.
The team is expected to hold their first training session at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon on Friday evening.
