‘I credit myself for believing and working hard in my first season in England.’ – Mohammed Kudus

Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus expressed his confidence in excelling at West Ham United and in the English Premier League, attributing his success to self-belief.

In an interview with West Ham media following The Hammers’ final game of the 2023-2024 English Premier League season, which ended in a 3-1 loss to Manchester City, Kudus reflected on his journey.

While Manchester City’s victory secured their fourth consecutive EPL title, Kudus managed to score a remarkable overhead kick as a consolation goal for West Ham.

Acknowledging his teammates and outgoing manager David Moyes, Kudus credited himself for believing in his abilities upon joining from Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

“Big credit to myself for believing in myself and putting in the effort day in, day out,” Kudus stated.

“You can only get better. I am still far off how I see myself performing in this league and doing my best so it’s good to get the first season on the run, but I have a long way to go and there is more stuff coming ahead.”

In his debut EPL season, Kudus showcased his talent by scoring eight goals and providing six assists, setting a promising foundation for future success.
