What a player!!! – Mo Kudus hails Black Stars teammates Fatawu Issahaku

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus is full of praise and admiration for his Black Stars teammate Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the wake of the latter’s impressive season with Leicester City.

Issahaku has had a brilliant loan season with The Foxes from Sporting Lisbon by playing a key role in Leicester’s promotion back to the English Premier League.

Leicester City have been crowned champions of the Sky Bet English Championship with a game left to play. The Enzo Maresca-led team beat Preston North End 3-0 to clinch the title having secured promotion to the elite division thanks to Leeds United’s loss in the lead up to the game.

Issahaku has six goals and 13 assists in 39 league games to his credit this season and was voted as the Young Player of the Season at Leicester’s end of season awards event.

Reacting to the news of Issahaku’s recognition, West Ham United player Mohammed Kudus showered his fellow Black Stars player with admiration on his X (previously Twitter) page,

“What a player and what a season! Proud watching you”.

Issahaku is in line for a deal with Leicester to make his season ending loan deal converted into a permanent one.

Kudus, like Issahaku, has had a successful debut season in England after joining the Hammers from Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam. Kudus has seven goals and five assists in 30 league games, as well as five goals in nine Europa League appearances.
