Andre Ayew, Ghana’s captain, claims he is coming back to his finest fitness at Le Havre, where he signed this season.
The veteran attacker made these remarks after scoring for Le Havre in 3-3 draw against the French Ligue 1 leaders Paris saint-Germain, delaying PSG’s Ligue 1 title celebrations.
The 34-year-old was without a club for an extended period and only signed for the newly promoted side with the first round of the season almost over.
A lot of Ghanaians have been critical of the fact that he is still playing for the Black Stars in the time that he was still without a club.
But Andre Ayew says he still physically fit and is up for the task ahead.
Andre scored for Le Havre as they held PSG to a 3-3 draw on Saturday at the Parc de Prince, Speaking after the game, Andre made reference to the rival between PSG and Marseille.
“Everything is going really well. Personally, I am physically fit. I am getting back to my best shape bit by bit. I was injured for a while so I didn’t sign for a club early,” he told journalist Nana Ama Agyemang.
