Ghana’s Black Starlets will face Cote d’Ivoire and Benin in the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship, which will be held in Accra from Wednesday, May 15 to Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
In the other group, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Togo, and Niger will compete.
The draw was held at the WAFU Zone B headquarters on Friday, April 19, 2024, and revealed the interesting matchups for the group stage.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
Teams will vie not only for the championship trophy but also for coveted spots in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations next year, with the host nation set to be announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
In the previous edition, Nigeria’s Golden Eagles triumphed over Burkina Faso in the final at the Robert Champroux stadium in Cote d’Ivoire, securing victory with a 2-1 scoreline.
