Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola delivers injury reports for Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker ahead of the crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola revealed whether Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake are fit to start against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash.

Walker has missed the club’s previous five games in all competitions due to a hamstring injury sustained during the international break, while Ake injured his calf during the club’s draw with Arsenal. Both defenders were named in the matchday squad against Luton Town over the weekend, and Guardiola has now provided an update on their current fitness.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the crucial clash against Los Blancos, the Cityzens boss said, “I am going to wait and see the training and in the last one or two training sessions see how he looks. But he looks good, his face, his mood. I don’t know from the bench, from the beginning [of the match] if he will be with us tomorrow. But that’s incredibly good news. We have the final training at 4 and then we will decide.”

The reigning European champions will also welcome ace midfielder Rodri back into their lineup after he was rested for the Premier League clash. The Spaniard had requested Guardiola to give him some rest after the Champions League quarter-final first leg as he felt exhausted.

After meeting Carlo Ancelotti’s team on Wednesday, Guardiola‘s players will face Chelsea in a key FA Cup semi-final match on Saturday.
