GFA will love to work with Man Utd’s talented teenager Kobbie Mainoo- Randy Abbey

Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Committee Member, Randy Abbey, has professed the GFA’s desire to work with Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Boateng Mainoo in the future.

He said this in an interview with UK media outlet, The Times, in the aftermath of Mainoo’s starring performance in Man United’s thrilling 4-3 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.

The 18 year old curled the ball into the bottom left side of the net in the 97th minute after wiggling past three defenders to give Man United the crucial win ahead of a big game against West Ham on Sunday, February 4 at Old Trafford.

Despite representing England at the Under 16 and Under 17 levels, Mainoo, who is of Ghanaian descent through his parents, is eligible to represent Ghana and this possibility is something the GFA hopes to become reality.

Mainoo was recently voted as Manchester United Player of the Month Award in January after scoring his debut goal at the senior level against Newport County in the FA Cup.
