Ghana remain deep rooted at the bottom of Group B after sharing spoils with Egypt

The Black Stars of Ghana remain at the bottom of Group B following their 2-2 draw against Egypt in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The West African country opened their tournament with a 2-1 defeat against Cape Verde on Sunday.

In the second group game against the record champions, Ghana needed to secure all three points to brighten its chances of making it to the next round of the tournament but ended up securing just a point.

Mohammed Kudus, who missed the first game against Blue Sharks netted a brilliant brace but Marmoush and Mustapha Mohamed scored as Rui Victoria’s men who opened their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Mozambique secured a point.

Ghana, who are now with just a point after two games will hope to win the final group game against Mozambique on Monday, January 22 and hope for a positive result between Cape Verde and Egypt.
