Kylian Mbappe leaves Real Madrid and PSG sweating as he sets deadline to make decision on his future

Mbappe’s contract has entered its final six months, meaning that he is free to negotiate with foreign clubs ahead of the summer transfer window. Speculation has thus continually swirled over the prospect of the striker finally making a long-mooted move to Spain with Real Madrid, but it now appears that he has set his own deadline. Spanish outlet Diario Sport reports that this will be some time in February, before the start of the Champions League last 16.
Kylian-MbappeMbappe has previously said that he has yet to make a decision over his next steps, although he has alluded to some sort of “agreement” with PSG over his future. He has, of course, been linked with Real before, although he opted to remain in France after a drawn-out saga in 2021.
  • Mbappe has remained integral to PSG’s plans this seasons and has been in electric form to boot. The 25-year-old has scored 22 goals in 23 games in all competitions.
