Cristiano Ronaldo is taking the opportunity to relax ahead of a reunion with Lionel Messi, as he soaks up the sun with partner Georgina Rodriguez.
The Portuguese superstar is enjoying a mid-season break with Saudi Arabian employers Al-Nassr. They are not due to be back in action until facing MLS side Inter Miami in the friendly Riyadh Cup competition on February 1.
That contest will see eternal rivals Ronaldo and Messi take in their ‘Last Dance’, with the pair ready to grace the same field for the first time at club level since squaring up on a regular basis during their respective spells at Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Messi is also enjoying a break at present, with the American off-season being taken in, and he has been back in his native Argentina. Ronaldo has also made the most of an opportunity to head home – with 2024 welcomed in on Portuguese soil. The 38-year-old continues to let his hair down during sunshine dinner dates with Georgina.
Ronaldo scored more goals in 2023 than any other player – with 54 recorded across his outings for club and country – and he will be hoping for more of the same in the new year. Messi is also showing no sign of slowing down at 36 years of age, with two all-time greats expected to play on for some time yet.
