Victor Osimhen has issued a surprising response to a Chelsea fan asking the Napoli striker to join the club.
A X, formerly Twitter, user called O.G.B, with more than 700,000 followers, posted a photo of a young Osimhen wearing a Chelsea shirt and wished him a happy 25th birthday. He added that the forward should come and rescue the Blues soon and the Napoli ace responded with two love heart emojis and the prayer emoji.
While there may not be much in this social media interaction, it is somewhat of a surprise Osimhen is doing this after he signed a new deal with the Italian side until 2026 earlier this month. However, the Nigerian international could yet leave the club in 2024 and this move by Napoli may just be to protect themselves financially. Regardless, his actions are likely to lead to more speculation over his future.

According to reports, Osimhen now has a release clause of around €130million (£113m/$144m) and is on an annual salary of €10m (£8.6m). Moreover, the former Lille star, who scored 31 goals for Napoli last season, remains keen on an exit eventually
